EDIT: MEME IS OVER. I got sick of it. But since many people enjoyed this animation a lot, I revived it and created a new version featuring an original composition of mine.


8/8/08: 3,000 views. Oh yay.

This is my version of the ridiculously popular Caramelldansen meme, featuring my own little remix of the song (because of dA's strict policies concerning copyrighted music). These are my original characters, Monoran and Hanabi. I created them for a Flash game that I've been working on for nearly a year now. I knows, they aren't exactly doing the Caramelldansen dance, but neither are this, this, and this. :P I should point out that I'm not exactly a big fan of Caramelldansen. But the song is catchy, the idea behind it is fun, and I wanted to have my characters try it out. =)

The art and animation were completely done in Flash 8 using only the mouse (I really wish I had a tablet or something), and the music was done in FL Studio 8.

Nope, not really. I passionately dislike the majority of the Caramelldansen phenomenon. There's only about 4-5 existing versions that I actually like. The song is catchy though, and the general idea behind it is fun. I just wanted to have my characters try it out too. =P

Thanks! I don't think epic is the right word to use here, haha. X) Music can really spice up Flash animations, indeed. It's a shame that we can't always use the music we want, isn't it? Your Flash thingies are already awesome without music though - don't worry about it. =)
