All music, artwork, code, and other material excluding guest artwork is © =flashygoodness unless noted otherwise. Production Notes: I use FL Studio 8 and PxTone to compose | Most synth instruments are custom-designed by me using 3xOSC and Magical 8bit Plug | I use various soundfonts | I usually use only the mouse to compose | I brainstorm for melodies by improvising on piano Guest Artists (visuals): All artwork is used with permission. Upcoming improvements: -featured songs -category selection Potential improvements: -favorites (custom playlists) 11/10/09: Gallery is fixed. 11/7/09: Temporary workaround implemented for main music gallery. Better fix to be implemented when I have time. 11/5/09: Gallery is offline due to Dropbox url change. 10/30/09 v0.46: Song looping improved; partially removes periods of silence between loops. "Starred songs" feature added; highlights my favorite works. 8/29/09: Rainghost seekbar. Song loading timeout implemented. 7/27/09 v0.45: Volume control implemented. 7/11/09: Minor visual update. 7/9/09: Fixed the gallery by switching hosting to a backup server. 7/8/09: Dropbox hosting went offline due to having too many listeners at once. Whoops! 7/8/09: Improved PNG scaling and panning routines; added a delay after hovering the mouse over the screen for the PNG to start moving. Reduced the size of the play button and brought back the stop button. 7/4/09 v0.44: Implemented PNG loading, scaling, and panning. 7/3/09 v0.43: Added shuffle playback! 6/30/09 v0.42: Made separate boxes for embedded comments and additional notes, and added a "critique requested" indicator. 6/15/09: Various minor graphical improvements. 5/31/09: Removed the stop button because it really isn't any more useful than than the pause button (right?) and was taking up space. 5/18/09 v0.41: Scrollbar programmed and implemented. It was more complicated than one would have thought. 5/15/09 v0.4: DeviantART-integration style implemented, misc. UI graphical changes made. Spent all night up till morning on this. 5/2/09: Menu opening behavior changed, scrolling method changed, autoplay "disabled" by means of an additional screen before music begins. 4/28/09: The main engine has been made entirely separate from its loader. That means multiple users can use this engine now! Also, the loading speed/performance issues from before have been fixed, after a lot of loathsome debugging. 4/27/09 v0.3: External SWF loading implemented. There are unresolved speed/connection/performance issues on my end, though. If anyone encounters any such issues or any bugs, please let me know! 4/6/09: Smooth scrolling added. 4/5/09: XML loading achieved! Retrieves songlist from an external XML file now. But the songlist is huge and I'll have to add a scrollbar or something later. 3/29/09: Duration detection achieved, seekbar fixed! After some experimentation and a bit of guesswork, I've figured out a way to accurately calculate the duration of the music without having it fully loaded! I've also fixed the seekbar's jumpiness because of that, and it now also shows a visual representation of the percentage of the song that is loaded! I think this is basically ready to go out of beta now, sans the fact that I must give the GUI an entire facelift as well as add features like volume control and dynamic image/swf loading. 3/28/09: First release. Currently testing out some dynamic loading of music data from Dropbox. Those with slower connections will have faster access to the music now. There are a few nasty bugs that seem to only happen for me and those with slower connections, but I'll try to have those fixed soon. ...This project was started on May 19, 2008, 6:17 PM, although actual functionality was not implemented until summer of 2008. And now, it's over one year old! And here's a gift for those who bothered to read this far: [link] Thanks! |

And as Wondercheese said, I see no flaws, aside from the occasional jumpiness of Hanabi. c:
